A seed is planted

๐ŸŒฑYour baby this week

  • If sperm met the egg, a single fertilized cell now begins dividing as it travels down the fallopian tube.
  • It becomes a ball of cells called a blastocyst over about five to six days.
  • Implantation into the uterine lining usually begins six to twelve days after ovulation.

๐ŸซงWhat you may be feeling

  • Usually nothing noticeable
  • Occasionally mild cramping with implantation

๐ŸคGentle tips for this week

  • From here on, skip alcohol and smoking for the rest of pregnancy โ€” major organs form in the weeks right ahead.
  • Keep meals balanced; no extra calories are needed yet.

Common question for week 3

How early can a pregnancy test show positive?

Most home tests detect pregnancy from about the first day of a missed period. Early-detection tests can work a few days sooner, but testing after a missed period gives the most reliable result.

Every pregnancy is different. Sizes are averages, symptoms vary widely, and none of this replaces the guidance of your own provider.
