Common question for week 38

What happens if I go past my due date?

It is common. Most providers monitor more closely after 41 weeks with checks and stress tests, and discuss induction — the placenta works best before 42 weeks.

Every pregnancy is different. Sizes are averages, symptoms vary widely, and none of this replaces the guidance of your own provider.
